He hated that he was leaving her so soon after the wedding. He knew she would be okay though. Charles was staying and could help her rule while he was away. Normally Charles would go with him, but he was injured and cannot fight if it comes to that.

He got things packed and ready to load in the wagons for the journey the next day.
